Wedding Planner Stuttgart | After the first few months of our engagement, we had already planned so much — but as the months went on, it was time to dive into the finer details. In August and again in October, we spent three to four days in Dresden, where our wedding would take place.
In August, we met with our decorator at our wedding venue to discuss how the room and table décor should look. Since we had already exchanged ideas beforehand, the meeting was relaxed and fun. She showed us various décor elements in pictures, and we were able to choose what suited our style best. We also used the opportunity to discuss the floral arrangements and select the types of flowers we wanted for each element.
The Wedding Cake
Wedding planner Stuttgart | Next on our list was the wedding cake. I contacted several bakeries for quotes.
Unfortunately, one experience was quite disappointing: They charged based on the number of guests, added extra costs for the decoration and the cake tasting — something that didn’t make sense to me, since cakes are usually priced per tier, not per slice.
In the end, we chose Erlebnis-Confiserie Vibato create our cake — and here’s why:
We had been there several times for coffee and cake, and everything always tasted amazing (and agreed with me, which is important!).

The consultation was wonderful — they truly listened to our wishes. We showed our consultant a picture of a fondant-covered cake, but since most people don’t like fondant, we decided on a semi-naked cake instead. That means the cake is covered in a light layer of cream, not fondant — elegant but still natural. Since our wedding would be in summer, we wanted something light and fruity — like raspberry, strawberry, or peach–passionfruit. 💡 Tip: Always choose something you love — it’s your day, your taste, your choice!
The First Dance
Wedding planner Stuttgart | The next item on our list was the first dance — something that should reflect us as a couple. My fiancé used to work as a DJ, so he still had the equipment we needed to mix our own song. However, since it was lockdown and all dance schools were closed, we learned the waltz — and everything else we needed — via Youtube! We practiced every week for months, and it became a lovely ritual together.
The Day’s Schedule
Wedding planner Stuttgart | Before sending out our invitations, we planned the timeline for both our civil and church ceremonies. It was important for us to create a flow — enough time to enjoy each moment, but not so much that it felt too long.We asked ourselves: ➡️ What happens after the ceremony? ➡️ How can we keep our guests entertained during our couple photoshoot?Since most of our guests were traveling 500 km and didn’t know the city, we decided to organize a sightseeing tour! Through
Da unsere Gäste ca. 500km anreisen und die meisten die Stadt nicht kennen, haben wir eine Stadtrundfahrt für die Gäste gebucht. Bei www.stadtrundfahrt.de we rented a white wedding bus just for our guests. The company arranged to pick everyone up at the hotel, bring them to the church, then offer a 90-minute city tour after the champagne reception before returning everyone to the hotel.Because the bus could only hold 72 guests, we included a short RSVP question in our invitations asking who would like to join the tour.
Wedding Invitations
Wedding Planner Stuttgart | September 2020 was all about wedding stationery — one of the most important details for any wedding.
I already had a clear vision: ivory invitations with gold glitter accents and laser-cut details — a trend I loved from the U.S. 😍
Finding this style in Germany, however, turned out to be a challenge. We came across a few suppliers, but none fit our budget.

Eventually, I found a company called traumhaftehochzeit.de — based in France but with German-speaking staff. They were incredibly flexible and brought all my ideas to life exactly as I had imagined. The best part? Each invitation cost just €6.50.
Why they were so cheap? Because we received all the parts separately and assembled them ourselves one afternoon.
The feedback from our guests was overwhelming:
- “The invitation looks so elegant.”
- “I’ve never seen anything like it — it’s amazing!”
- „Beautiful invitation ..."
- “Beautiful, creative, and unique.”
It was absolutely worth the effort, and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat!
Now that the schedule and stationery were sorted, it was time to think about what to wear — something I’ve already shared with you in a previous post post.
