I contacted several bakeries for quotes.<\/p><p>Unfortunately, one experience was quite disappointing:\nThey charged based on the number of guests, added extra costs for the decoration and the cake tasting \u2014 something that didn\u2019t make sense to me, since cakes are usually priced per tier, not per slice.<\/p><p>In the end, we chose <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.viba-shop.de\/\">Erlebnis-Confiserie Viba<\/a><\/strong>to create our cake \u2014 and here\u2019s why:<\/p><p>We had been there several times for coffee and cake, and everything but since most people don\u2019t like fondant, we decided on a semi-naked cake instead.\nThat means the cake is covered in a light layer of cream, not fondant \u2014 elegant but still natural.\nSince our wedding would be in summer, we wanted something light and fruity \u2014 like raspberry, strawberry, or peach\u2013passionfruit.\n\ud83d\udca1 Tip: Always choose something you love \u2014 it\u2019s short RSVP question in our invitations asking who would like to join the
