the answer came quickly \u2014 we had already decided that we\u2019d simply reverse our anniversary date.\nWe also knew right away that we wanted a church wedding.\nEven though a symbolic ceremony can feel more personal, we wanted something traditional \u2014 a blessing under God.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Wedding Planner Stuttgart | Next, we needed to secure our dates.\nWe started by contacting the registry office (Standesamt).\nIn Germany, you can get married civilly in any city \u2014 so if you, like us, don\u2019t want to marry in your hometown, that\u2019s no problem.\nAt our registry office, dates can be reserved one year in advance, so exactly one year before, I received a call to confirm our reservation.<\/p><p>Then came the church ceremony.\nWe had our hearts set on a very special church \u2014 but they only offer a handful of weddings per year.\nSince our civil ceremony would take place on a Friday, we wanted the church ceremony the next day.\nUnfortunately, that wasn\u2019t possible at our preferred church.\nBecause the date itself wasn\u2019t as important to us as the civil ceremony, we decided to hold our church wedding on the next available date after the civil one.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>You might be wondering: what is a Dimissoriale?\nSince our chosen church was not in our hometown, our local pastor needed to confirm that he approved of us getting married elsewhere. Usually, this is just a formality.<\/p><p>It\u2019s also important to note the difference between Protestant and Catholic weddings in Germany:\nFor a Protestant wedding, it\u2019s enough if one of you is Protestant.\nFor a Catholic ceremony, at least one partner must be Catholic \u2014 the other can be Protestant, but not of another or no faith.<\/p><p>After submitting all our documents, we finally received confirmation for our church wedding \u2014 and the planning could officially begin! came a setback: the first COVID-19 lockdown.\nWe had already selected several venues we wanted to visit, but everything came to a standstill.<\/p><p>To use the time wisely, we started looking for a wedding photographer and videographer.\nEach professional has their own style, so it was important to us that their aesthetic matched what we envisioned \u2014 and ideally, that they had already worked together before.<\/p><p>We also started looking for a DJ.\nA live band wasn\u2019t the right fit for us since they usually have breaks and focus on one style of music.\nWe wanted a DJ who could play everything \u2014 from 3 PM until the early hours of the morning! \ud83e\udd73<\/p><p>So by that point, we had already booked two key vendors.<\/p><p>Next, we discussed the style and theme of our wedding.\nSince we\u2019re not particularly into bright colours, we decided on simple elegance \u2014 white and gold.\nOnce we agreed on that, we started collecting decoration ideas and working with a wedding decorator to bring them to life.\nWe didn\u2019t yet know which venue we would choose, but we already had a clear vision of the look and feel we mid-May, when the lockdown finally ended, we could start our venue tour.\nWithin two days, we visited five different venues.<\/p><p>For us, a few things were non-negotiable:\n\nEnough accommodation for our guests\n\nDogs allowed \ud83d\udc36\n\nSpacious, bright rooms with natural light\n\nWhile each venue had its strengths and weaknesses, the very first one we visited turned out to be our favourite \u2014 and we booked it right away!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"background-color: #ffffff;\">Wedding Planner Stuttgart | <\/span>With our venue booked, it was time to send our Save-the-Date cards in May 2020.\nWe didn\u2019t want anything \u201cstandard,\u201d so we designed our own on <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.printkiss.de\">www.printkiss.de<\/a><\/strong> Save-the-Dates aren\u2019t mandatory, but since our wedding would take place 500 km away in Dresden, we wanted to give guests enough time to plan their trip.<\/p><p>Of course, before sending them, we had to decide who to invite.\nWe kept it simple \u2014 just close family, friends, and the people who truly mattered to us.<\/p><p>\ud83d\udca1 A little advice: Invite only the people you really want to celebrate with \u2014 not out of obligation or guilt.\nIt\u2019s your day, and it should reflect what you want \u2014 free from expectations or pressure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-63bb1b5 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default eltdf-parallax-row-no eltdf-content-aligment-left
