Today\u2019s post is a little different \u2014 it\u2019s a personal one! \ud83d\udc95\nI\u2019m a #Bride2021, and yesterday was finally the big day... I went wedding dress shopping! \ud83e\udd17<\/p>

Like so many brides-to-be, I\u2019ve watched countless episodes of \u201cZwischen T\u00fcll und Tr\u00e4nen\u201d on TV.\nSo, even before my engagement, I already knew one thing for sure: when I buy my wedding dress, it will be from Uwe Herrmann Dresden (https:\/\/www.hochzeitsmode-dresden.de\/<\/a>)<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Yesterday, the day finally arrived! I went to Dresden with my parents and my fianc\u00e9 (don\u2019t worry \u2014 he wasn\u2019t part of the actual dress fitting \ud83d\ude09).<\/p>

We were warmly welcomed at the store, and my consultant took note of all my wishes and preferences. Then, the search for the one began.\n\nThere were so many beautiful dresses \u2014 but somehow, each one had something that didn\u2019t feel quite right. The lace was a bit itchy here, or the neckline wasn\u2019t quite what I had imagined...\n\nAfter trying on the fourth dress, my wonderful consultant stepped in with two new options she had handpicked just for me. She had already figured out exactly what I had in mind \u2014 and she was spot on!\n\nAnd the result?\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

\u2728 I FOUND MY DRESS! \u2728<\/strong><\/p>

The feeling was absolutely overwhelming, and yes \u2014 I admit it \u2014 tears of joy rolled down my cheeks.<\/p>

Dear brides, that magical feeling really exists! \ud83d\udc96\nWhen you find the one \u2014 the dress that makes you see yourself walking down the aisle \u2014 you\u2019ll just know. It\u2019s a moment filled with emotion, and it\u2019s truly unforgettable.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

So why did my fianc\u00e9 come along, you might ask?\nBecause at @uweherrmanndresden, they don\u2019t just have stunning bridal gowns and accessories \u2014 they also offer men\u2019s suits and eveningwear.<\/p>

After I found my dress, the consultant from the men\u2019s department came to take a look at it. That way, she could choose a suit for my fianc\u00e9 that would perfectly complement my gown.\n\nI shared my ideas with her, but she smiled and said, \u201cIt\u2019s going to be something different.\u201d My parents accompanied my fianc\u00e9 to his fitting, and \u2014 as I was told \u2014 he found his perfect suit too!\n\nApparently, it\u2019s something completely unexpected... so I\u2019ll let myself be surprised on our wedding day. I\u2019ll share all the details with you after the big day!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

That was already two big milestones checked off in one day \u2014 the dress and the suit. But we weren\u2019t done yet!\nOur next stop: wedding rings.\n\nAt @uweherrmanndresden, you can also design and order your rings \u2014 and we were personally advised by the master jeweler himself.\n\nWhile he briefly stepped out, #PhilippHerrmannDresden joined us for a lovely chat and even brought us some refreshments. The consultation was excellent \u2014 we learned so many new things about materials that no other jeweler had ever mentioned before!\n\nFor example: did you know that white gold loses some of its color over time? We didn\u2019t! Platinum and palladium are much more durable. However, palladium has become quite expensive recently due to the demand in electric cars.\n\nIn the end, we chose a mix of yellow gold and platinum \u2014 and then celebrated with a toast! \ud83e\udd42<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

All in all, we had an amazing and successful day \u2014 and we couldn\u2019t be happier!\nThe entire team was incredibly kind and professional. The consultations were excellent, and the atmosphere made us feel completely comfortable and cared for.<\/p>

We\u2019re now more excited than ever for our wedding next year and, like so many other couples, we hope we\u2019ll be able to celebrate just as we\u2019ve planned.<\/p>
